Standard policies used for routine general security do not apply to such volatile circumstances. EL AL, Israel Airlines has successfully prevented hijackings and bombings of its aircraft since the 1970’s through the use of progressive security measures. Our Anti Hijacking training program is based on the same effective methods developed and proven in Israel under the most demanding circumstances over the past three decades. Following the Israeli model and using a unique talent pool of Israeli and American counterterrorism and security instructors, we teach this proprietary information in a flexible training schedule and in multiple languages. Our program explicitly addresses the urgent realities of a potentially violent confrontation and terrorism survival. This course is NOT martial arts. It is a program specifically developed for use by aircrew members in the confined space of an aircraft. You will learn: Implementing survival techniques and delay tactics in a hostage situation Effectively respond as a team to in-flight threats and a hijacking crisis Personal protection and weapon disarmament in confined spaces Terrorism incidents: the weapons, tactics and lessons learned Evaluation of potential threatening passengers or activities Hijacker modes of operation and probable risk scenarios Methods of subduing and restraining unruly passengers Identification of hostile passengers and sleepers Defusing, de-escalating, and containing air rage Recognition of weapons and explosive devices Crisis communication and covert signaling Separation and self-defense techniques
