The new Model 550 HOLOgraphic Diffraction Sight (HDS) is now fully compatible with Generation I - 2I+ night vision intensifier tubes. A special night vision setting on the M550 allows the operator to immediately drop the brightness intensity of the holographic reticle to eliminate any "halo" affect and saturation of the night vision device. The M550 can be positioned behind night vision systems without any "bloom" of the target area.
Now operators can combine proven night vision system with a superior Close Quarters Battle (CQB) sight to achieve greatly enhanced weapon aiming while in the night vision spectrum.
